Higholborn Street Basic School is owned by the Kingston Restoration Company (KRC) and has served the neighborhood of Southside in Downtown, Kingston for over 40 years. Currently, approximately 40 students attend the school and there are four members of staff, which include three teachers and one cook. The school was established as a community-based institution to meet the needs of the residents of Southside and surrounding areas. Southside, along with Tel-aviv, comprise the community of Parade Gardens. In spite of having to endure some tumultuous times, the school has stood strong in the face of adversity. And, alumni can be found in a variety of professions throughout the world. |  |
